It's Me...Again!

Wow...that must have been the longest break in blogosphere history!  For me, life has been a little hectic over the past few months....to say the least (a new job and a pregnancy that has knocked me out for weeks).  So, as my nesting phase is in full gear, I have undertaken a few projects that I plan to share in the next few weeks. 

But, I figured I would start with a walk down memory lane.  I have been working with a number of new clients lately that have asked to see my portfolio which has caused me to go into the vaults and find some photos of my previous work.  I have come to the realization that #1 - I am terrible at organizing and keeping track of my work and #2 - my work has evolved over time.  It's kinda cool to see this transformation over time!

So, this week I'll start with a house that we lived in back in Halifax.  It was a nice house; it had some really nice bones.  As it was a previously owned home the design choices didn't entirely suit my design aestethic however, we made the most of it.  We also knew that this wasn't a home that we would spend a while in, so small changes were made.

Sarah Richardson Redesigned Condo

If you don't know already, Sarah Richardson is one of my all-time favourite designers.  Well, Sarah (and Tommy) have done it again!!!  They transformed this very dated condo into one of the most amazing spaces I have ever seen.  It goes to show that it's not always about spending lots of money on redecorating or renovating but, making smart decisions and knowing where to splurge.  Sarah and Tommy have hit this one out of the park!  Take a look!

I ♥ Turquoise

Hello again!!!  I know it's been quite a long time since I last blogged.  Not a day goes by that I don't think about blogging, and I would love to do it full time but, the rest of my life has been so busy lately!  So, as I find a few minutes to check out design inspirations, I am totally blown away.  I normally do not post other blogger's material but, this time I could not resist. Erin of House of Turquoise always features the most anazing homes...with a hit of turquoise!  But, this one is, in my eyes, the perfectly designed house.  This home is designed by Abbe Fenimore of Studio Ten 25 of Dallas, Texas.  I can honestly say, I love every room!  I love the fact that Abbe uses subtle paint colours as the backdrop and lets the furniture, fabric and accessories make a statement!  Enjoy!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

C Wonder: My New Favourite Store

While spending an amazing weekend in NYC, I discovered C Wonder!  This place is bursting full of colour and energy.  The store offers clothing, accessories and home decor with a preppy, luxurious feel.  From the moment you walk in the store, happiness is all around.  WARNING: If you don't like colour, this post is definitely not for you!  If you do, enjoy the eye candy!

This is probably the most fun dressing room I have ever been in!  I loved the dog themed wallpaper and curtains. 

 

I absolutely loved these teapot lighting fixtures.  So whimsical!
