C Wonder: My New Favourite Store

While spending an amazing weekend in NYC, I discovered C Wonder!  This place is bursting full of colour and energy.  The store offers clothing, accessories and home decor with a preppy, luxurious feel.  From the moment you walk in the store, happiness is all around.  WARNING: If you don't like colour, this post is definitely not for you!  If you do, enjoy the eye candy!

Here a few photos that I took:

Gorgeous vignettes displaying beautiful items throughout the store!

This is probably the most fun dressing room I have ever been in!  I loved the dog themed wallpaper and curtains.

I absolutely loved these teapot lighting fixtures.  So whimsical!

This wall display created with plates is so simple and unique.  So easy to recreate at home!

And a few of my favourite pieces:

Benjamin Moore's 2013 Colour of the Year

Every year Benjamin Moore explores colour trends and chooses one colour that will be the jumping off point to create a gorgeous colour palette for your home.

Say hello to Lemon Sorbet 2019-60!

This colour, is light and fresh and is a great backdrop to the emerging pastel trend we are currently seeing.  This pure, clean colour can also be incorporated amazingly well with the current look of rich jewel tones as well as a great complement to the grey trend.

“Lemon Sorbet is a perfect colour to begin invigorating change for 2013,” says Sharon Grech. “Colour has the power to evoke a mood and yellow, in its many variations, represents optimism and light for 2013.

Here are a few inspiration photos:

Apartment Therapy

For me, I don't know if I could paint an entire room with Lemon Sorbet.  Like I said earlier, it is a very clean colour so once on the walls, it would appear much brighter than what you see on the paint chip.  So, here are my recommendations to incorporate this trend:

-Inject some colour into your space with furniture, bedding, throw cushions and accessories
-Paint your ceiling or a feature wall
-Incorporate hits of colour with wall art or paint some accents as in the last photo

If you still love the yellow hue and you want to paint your room, a couple alternatives to Lemon Sorbet are Weston Flax HC-5 and Pale Moon OC-108.

What do say to Lemon Sorbet, yay or nay?
